Ester and Mordecai shrine is located at the beginning of Dr. Shariati Street, Hamdan. The mausoleum construction materials consist of stone and brick. It was built in Islamic style. It seems that this building was constructed in 13th century instead of an earlier one which belonged to eleven centuries ago.
The building consists of an entrance gate, a vestibule, two tombs, portico, and Shahneshin. Walls of latter were decorated with fabrique, different lights, and ornaments. Also there is a prccious "Old Testament" written on parchment which now has been kept in Cultural Heritage Organization of Hamedan province, in a cylindrical box.

In the center of the square chamber of the tombs, there arc two beautiful boxes on the sepulchers. On the southern tomb that belongs to Ester. There is an older precious antique inlaid box." The second box on the Mordecai tomb is similar to the first one, but it was built in 1922 AD by "Enayatollah Ibn-c Hazrat Gholi Tuyscrkani" a famous inlaider in his period.
Translation of Hebrew writing on the Ester's box that introduces her who ordered making this box is as follow:
Mrs. Jamal Satam a modest lady and her learned brothers. Jamal ol-Dolch Yuhzaghia, Jamal ol-Doleh Yashu'a and Yash’l who arc also physicians ordered to make this box."

A relief Hebrew inscription that was plastered has been fixed on the mausoleum walls. The Hebrew writing on Ester's box and the relief plaster belong to 8 th or 9 th centuries AH.
There arc different opinions about people who are buried there, but a famous one, which is concordant with Greek historians and similar to the "Old Testament" story about Estcr and Mordecai is in this way:

But Mordecai canceled the order of king with the help of Ardeshir's wife - Ester and rescued Jews. After that Jews of the world honor them and celebrate "Pouryam Ceremony" which is the anniversary of rescuing Jews from carnage.

This monument is a valuable and religious building for Jews. In addition it has a historical importance.
At first . Ester's name was "Hadseh" but because of her exteraordinary beauty. She was called "Ester" (it means Star). She was the daughter of Abi Hayel and was born in 500 BC in Persia and her uncle (Mordecai) took her responsibility after her parents.
Mordecai (that means little man or bird lover) was from Sha'ol family, son of Yaiz the descendent of Yaghub Prophet, and prophet Benjamin.Was in the court of Xerxes and Hedseh teacher that also was appointed as a Vizir.
